Hello, I'm Juanito, or Please Work. I’ve been working in web development since 2011. I’m currently at Buildkite (since 2020). Previously, I worked at companies like Shopify and Cookpad.
I take pride in my work and strive for a ferocious work ethic with meticulous attention to detail. I try to be kind to others—and I’m learning to extend that same kindness to myself. I’m a Rubyist who enjoys working with Open Source, web performance, and PostgreSQL with strong interests in scalability. Outside of work, I’m into sushi and photography.
I became more introverted after COVID. I’m not really up for meeting. I’ve spent the past decade living for others—now, I want to live this life for myself.
